Waiting chooses stillness instead of busyness, acceptance instead of avoidance, uncertainty instead of control. Waiting puts us in touch with our longings and disappointments, and creates space for healing. Waiting is not the same as doing nothing. It is essentially giving up control of the transformational process and trusting that growth will happen in the stillness.

Fellow counselors & all professional healers: our greatest strength in helping others is quite possibly our own unique experiences of human suffering, struggle, & growth. Being aware & awake to the impact of the ebbs and flows in our own journeys enables us to more fully empathize & partner with those we sit with. { Quote by psychotherapist Marion Woodman }
